✦ REVIVE A SUNNAH ⇨ "FASTING ON THE FIRST NINE DAYS OF DHU'L-HIJJAH" ✦

It is Sunnah for the Muslim to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, because the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) encouraged us to do righteous deeds in the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, and fasting is one of the best of deeds, which Allaah has chosen for Himself as it says in the hadeeth qudsi:

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, "Allah said, 'All the deeds of Adam's sons (people) are for them, except fasting which is for Me, and I will give the reward for it.'

[Sahih Bukhari :: Vol. 3 :: Book 31 :: Hadith 128]

Urdu Translation: Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu Anhu se riwayat hai k RasoolAllah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne Farmaya Allah Paak Farmata hai k Insan ka Har Naik Aml khud us k liye hai Magar Roza ke wo khaas mere liye hai Aur main hi us ka Badla dunga.
